Remember when
you went to the car dealerships during new car introductions and you couldn’t wait
to grab the latest brochures, run home and tape a full size picture of that ’64
Vette on your wall?
Believe it or not, talking with many of the oldtimers
at the shows, this was fairly common in the ag business as well.
I mean, who could afford a $2,000 Aultman
Taylor?! Cut out the pictures, hang ‘em in the barn
and dream a lot. Fortunately, just like
the car business, some of them had the foresight to NOT cut them up; and just
put them away in a trunk for old iron nuts like us to find! They were/are colorful, educational, and just
plain fun to read:
“made of good old fashion iron and made to last a
lifetime…..”
When was the last time you read that in a recent Cadillac ad?!?!
